PHILADELPHIA – Back troubles limited Randy Carlyle in recent weeks, but the Maple Leafs head coach was back on his feet and busy at draft weekend in Philadelphia. Genesis Cabrera Cardinals Jersey . Carlyle, alongside team president Brendan Shanahan and general manager Dave Nonis, continued to hunt for the remainders of a coaching staff, following the dismissal of his three assistant coaches – including long-time no. 2 Dave Farrish – in early May. The Leafs plan on hiring two new assistant coaches to support Carlyle, who received a two-year contract extension after Farrish, Greg Cronin and Scott Gordon were fired. Touching down in the state of Pennsylvania with team personnel on Wednesday, Carlyle has been speaking with prospective candidates all week and throughout the early stages of summer. "We have a criteria," he said of the interview process, minutes before Fridays draft was to begin. "We sat down and we created a few boxes that we felt we needed to fill. "And its typical where youre in an interview process you look for peoples strengths and the experience is always a factor – where theyve worked before or who theyve worked with; have they ever been a head coach before; what programs have they run; what were their jobs with their previous employer; did they run power-play or penalty killing units. Those are the kind of things that typically go into an interview process." Though he managed to hold onto his job, significant alterations to his coaching staff were deemed necessary after a season that rapidly deteriorated into another playoff-less season. Absent answers to the wreckage amid the unraveling, Carlyle has finally digested what took place and is looking to turn the page. But he remains of the view that "compete" was the downfall of a club that tumbled out of a certain playoff position in the final weeks. "We didnt compete enough in the situations that we were presented with and consistently enough," said Carlyle, noticeably relaxed after a stressful season. Change is coming, he understands, and not just to the coaching staff. With a glut of unrestricted free agents – many of whom wont return – and multiple pieces to adjust and rearrange, the Leafs will resemble a different team in the fall. Just how different remains unclear, but it appears that youth should be part of the agenda with Morgan Rielly, Peter Holland, Carter Ashton, Jerry DAmigo, Petter Granberg, Josh Leivo among others in line to either garner more opportunity or earn NHL jobs. "Theyre going to be given more of an opportunity," Carlyle said. "Thats our plan. Our teams not going to be the same coming back. Its as simple as that. With the amount of unrestricted free agents that we have and the make-up of our group we know that some of those players wont be back with our hockey club." A favourite of Carlyle, in spite of his brief Toronto experience, Dave Bolland could be among them. The Leafs have engaged in a back and forth with the Bolland camp – fronted by agent Anton Thun – but have yet to find agreeable terms ahead of July 1st."Its not that were not speaking to each other," Nonis said Thursday, "its at this point we havent been able to find common ground for a deal." Bolland is one among many potential changes for the Leafs, who are also likely to shuffle their bottom-six forward group (with a glut of unrestricted free agents), defence, and backup goaltending position. Adjustment to the core group, following the second regular season collapse in three years, is also a distinct possibility. All of which means a busy offseason ahead for Carlyle and the Toronto management team. Gussie Busch Cardinals Jersey . The Americans, skipped by John Shuster, seized the advantage in the eighth end by scoring five points for a 7-3 lead. The Czechs pulled two back in the ninth, but Shusters team of third Jeff Isaacson, second Jared Zezel and lead John Landsteiner ended with another point to secure the last Olympic berth on offer. Brett Cecil Jersey . Jones took a beating, the worst one of his record reign, in a bout against Alexander Gustafsson that knocked the light heavyweight champion on the canvas for the first time in his career and put his belt in jeopardy. https://www.cheapcardinalsonline.com/ . The Miami Heat star tops the leagues global list of top-selling jerseys for the 2012-13 season, edging Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls, Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder and James Heat teammate Dwyane Wade for the No. SAN DIEGO -- Tim Lincecum doesnt pitch like the two-time Cy Young award winner from five years ago. Hes just beginning to get similar results. The right-hander struggled after winning the honour in 2008 and 2009, but a retooling of his game has begun to pay off and has the San Francisco Giants thinking about the Lincecum of old. After throwing a no-hitter against San Diego 11 days ago, Lincecum took a shutout into the seventh inning Sunday to lead the Giants to a 5-3 win over the Padres. Lincecum (8-5) extended his scoreless streak to 23 1-3 innings before Brooks Conrad hit a solo homer in the seventh to knock him out of the game. The streak started with his second career no-hitter against San Diego on June 25. Lincecum followed that with eight scoreless innings in a 5-0 win over St. Louis on Tuesday. Although this is not the overpowering Lincecum who won the Cy Young in consecutive years, the results are impressive. "Im not going to overpower teams with my stuff," Lincecum said. "Im just going to have to mix my pitches and locations. Im doing a good job of that. Im not missing in big spots with pitches." He allowed one run on three hits, walked four and struck out six. Lincecum has won all three starts this season against San Diego and improved his mark against the Padres to 16-6 in 29 career starts. Lincecum threw his first no-hitter at San Diego on July 13, 2013. "Timmys just been on a good roll," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. "How poised hes been, how easy his delivery has been." The Giants have been down this road before with Lincecum since he began struggling after his last Cy Young season and lacked the consistency that had marked the early part of his career. Bochy thinks this recent stretch may last. "Hes reinvented himself," Bochy said. "I think he has a better idea of what he wants to do as far as pitching. Hes become more of a pitcher. It was pure stuff early on in his career. Hes gotten more cerebral with the pitching side of it." Lincecum also believes he may be able to sustain his most recent success as compared to other stretches when it didnt last. "Its just a feeling I have right now," he said. "I look for consistency and this is about as consistent as I have been in the last few years. Hopeefully, this is the start of something good. Stan Musial Jersey. " The Giants, who had dropped 18 of 22 games after they lost the opener Friday, won two straight to win only their second series in nearly a month. Brandon Belt drove in two runs for San Francisco and Hunter Pence had three hits, extending his season-best hitting streak to 11 games, and scored three runs. Rookie Joe Panik and Michael Morse each had an RBI. Three relievers combined with Lincecum on a four-hitter. Santiago Casilla pitched the ninth for his third save in six chances. The Padres did not get their first hit off Lincecum until there were two outs in the fourth. Yasmani Grandal hit a two-run homer, his seventh, off former closer Sergio Romo in the eighth inning to cut the Giants lead to 5-3. Rookie Jessie Hahn (4-2) lost his four-start winning streak, allowing three runs on five hits over seven innings in his sixth major league start. The left-hander struck out five and walked two. "In the early innings, they were sitting on my curveball, so I had to make some adjustments," Hahn said. Hahn retired 11 straight batters after he allowed Morses RBI single to fall behind 3-0 in the third. "The second half of his outing was outstanding," Padres manager Bud Black said. "I was really impressed with how Jesse hung in there." Belt singled in a run in the first and had a sacrifice fly in San Franciscos two-run eighth.
