Dasan Sydora made 19 saves for the win while Andrew Lefebvre and Maxim Veilleux combined to stop 72 of 80 shots in a losing effort for Sudbury. With the preliminary round now complete, the Saskatoon Contacts will face the Red Deer Rebels in one semi-final match-up on Saturday and the Leduc Oil Kings will play the Phenix du College Esther-Blondin in the other.
